The Long Now Weather Station: Radio Data

The Meteor Burst Radio now used on the weather station is a two way radio which bounces its signals off the ionizing trails of the small meteors that constantly bombard our atmosphere. Below are the current and cumulative results of the daily diagnostics of the radio performed at midnight every day.

Radio Interference (Db):

[ month | year | text log ]
The radios local interference as measured in decibels. (Pink dots are data points and the red line is the average.)

Radio Transmit Power (Watts):

[ month | year | text log ]
The radios transmitting power.(Pink dots are data points and the red line is the average.)

Power of signal received (Watts):

[ month | year | text log ]
The power of the signal being received from the Bozeman Montana station. (Pink dots are data points and the red line is the average.)

Battery Voltage at transmit (Volts):

[ month | year | text log ]
The voltage the battery dips to when a transmit occurs. (Pink dots are data points and the red line is the average.)
